Hi Cathy, if you are extending the invitation to us that is very kind but we will not be travelling across the pond for the match. We are 2 women in the US. If the invitation is for Russell try him at twitter, he is not affiliated with our site. Thanks!

  2. I watch your page and follow Russell’s TWITTER PAGE EVERYB DAY. Previously I used to follow Murphsplace. I was wondering if you might consider putting details my new book Trajan’s Secret on your book page. I first wrote the story as a script for Gladiator Two but was unable to get it to Russell. I did try very hard indeed. I have revamped the story and now published it under the name of Trajan’s Secret and would like to still bring it to the attention of Russell if possible. This is a brand new story with no copyright ties or a feeling that he may be too old to play Gladiator again. It is on Amazon as an eBook.

Hi Vera, we have no way of passing any messages along to Russell. It sounds like an interesting story. Good luck with your eBook at Amazon.

      • Thank you Tamara I am currently writing another story Master of The Towers. Yesterday I took a break and read your trip to Oz. I thought it was very good and wondered why you didn’t finish it as a book. I must say on my travels I have often sat next to nice men and chatted but never have I had a trip like that one!! Finish the story it would make a great book. The talent is there undoubtedly. You could do like I am doing and publish it on the internet as an eBook. Great website by the way.

  3. I forgot to add Tamara I haven’t been to Oz yet. Here’s hoping!!
I have just published another book on Amazon and a very good website http://www.smashwords.com. I actually got all the info through this website a few weeks ago looking up one of your articles about Russell from the Mail on Line. On there was an article about Sheila Rodgers aka Rachael Abbot and how she had published her books as eBooks and how she did it. She has been extremely successful since starting a few years ago and has sold over a million copies of her detective stories. I set to work on her advice from the article and a few weeks later I have now got two books up as eBooks. Perhaps I was a bit like you in as much as I have written down different stories over the years; some for young children; young adults as in Tom Morrow : Finding The Book and that story has even appealed to some adults as well. And now Trajan’s Secret which you now know the history behind it. Bit by bit I’ll get them all out there as it is almost impossible nowadays to get either a publisher or an agent. Read the profile of Mark Coker the man who started smashwords. He and his wife encountered the same problems and it gave him the idea to set up his company which is now listed in the Fortune 500 list. The company is USA based and I am UK based but that is the beauty of the web. It can open so many doors so easily around the world. He felt and was right that there were possibly a lot of people encountering similar problems. My current story Master of The Towers is a romance set between Ireland and London in the late fifties and onwards. It has a lot of double dealing in business; gambling and corruption; race horses as well as inherited money etc. etc. I started it in 1990. I eventually left it for the reasons mentioned; couldn’t find an agent or publisher. My friends kept on at me to do something with it and I have resurrected it again. I am now on chapter thirteen; almost half way through it. I bought, through a company http://www.shutterstocks.com or maybe .co.uk royalty free images for the covers of the two books currently on sale as mentioned. I have the second Tom Morrow book entitled Tom Morrow : Finding The Isle of Noam finished but will wait for a while before I publish it. I am telling you all this in the hope that it will encourage you to utilise your own talent and get writing. Good luck to you. I would certainly, as an avid reader, buy a trip to Oz.
Maybe you will have a look at my books and if you like them pass the word especially on the social network.
    Kind Regards

    Vera

  4. Tamara In my break today I read your story, Wendy. As usual I was sorry when it came to an end. Definitely you should keep on writing. When I have read all yours I’ll start on Mary’s stories. One of my friends always used to say; the opening chapter is the grabbing chapter and in your case THEY are grabbing chapters.

    Kind Regards

Thank you Vera. I have not written anything in … at least 7 years. I am a plodding, slow writer and I work full time as a therapist and part time as a college professor. My 17 and 19 year old are leaving home this summer however so – who knows. I will definitely need a hobby! And I think you will find that Mary Anne is a much more skillful writer.

      • Don’t hide your light under the proverbial bushel. You have got talent and I wish you well in using it. You are obviously a very busy lady. Mine are all grown up with families of their own and don’t live nearby which is a pity. Through my busy years I was like you. I would write as the ideas came and now I have decided to do it full time and I am picking up on some of my old work.

        Kind Regards

        Vera
