DailyMail article spotlighting Long Island’s Oyster Bay as the location for much of Noah‘s exterior scenes. Excerpt:

“Noah” — starring Russell Crowe as the rescuer of life on Earth following the Bible’s Great Flood — utilized New York’s easternmost location to build the vessel Aronofsky (“Black Swan”) has called “At least the second-most famous boat after the Titanic, if not the most famous.” He and his production team built a bigger-than-life-sized ark in the Planting Fields Arboretum State Park in Nassau County.
