We have a large video of the performance by the Les Miz cast last night at the Oscars. I know the theme of the show was musicals, but it also felt to me as if the Academy was acknowledging what a special film Les Miz is, even though it did not win best picture (although it picked up more awards than Lincoln).

wow, what an amazing performance! i love the look that anne gave to hugh as she finished her bit, too. and it’s always so easy to distinguish russell from any other man, even when he’s backlit – he has such a powerful walk (which sounds strange if you don’t know who he really is!). thanks for this!

Thanks, have a friend who couldn’t firgure out why Russell was given this job in Les Mez even though I had told her a thousand times he could sing. She doesn’t do you tube and I really don’t think she believed he had ever sung. I don’t share with her my Cd’s of him. Selfish with them. The man can do it all. Thanks again.
